What are we all about? Consider this the anti-blog. In the political realm, the internet has news sites, Op/Ed pieces, and bloggers — lots and lots of bloggers. Please don't misunderstand we are all for blogging — anything that allows people to be heard. People look to these sites for information and for points-of-view but these vehicles most often depend on provocation, partisan bickering, and inflammatory dialogue — not reason. We believe there is something missing: a place where regular people, us normal folks, can go to read and/or contribute well-thought-out opinions on politics in the world that we live in.

Citizen have something important to say. In fact, that is our mission. We give readers the opportunity to respond in a thoughtful way to the opinions presented here. The opinions presented here will be those of Jane or John Q. Citizen; the only required credentials are that the submitted opinions are respectful and thoughtful. We hope you enjoy politics from THIS vantage point. We hope that this is a testament to the idea that We The People have something of value to add, and that political thought is not the monopoly of operatives and professional political hacks. |
